The Academy of American Ballet is an active participant in our community and we appreciate opportunities for positive engagement with schools, student groups, senior centers and other community organizations. For example, our performance company Ballet America has provided short dance performances before student assemblies, at senior centers, and as part of a children hospital’s holiday celebration. We make a point of getting our dancers out into the community to perform for those who could not otherwise come see us. We have performed for family shelters, seniors, homeless, and hospitalized. We desire to restore those who are experiencing hardship into a larger community as we bring the joyful art of dance.
